Grivel Genealogies

The Genealogical part of the Grivel Website is actually a completely separate area, which is generated automatically from a genealogical database. Click on the Database section above to go to the genealogical part of the site. While in the genealogical database, clicking on the G logo in the top-left corner of the screen brings you back to the main site.

An explanation of the information found in the genealogy database, as well as additional genealogical information, will be added here in the future.

Contribute to the Database

If you would like to contribute to the Grivel Genealogy database on this Website, please feel free to do so by sending an Email to me at egrivel@acm.org. I can accept contributions in almost any way that is convenient for you; just let me know what information you have and we will work something out.

If you are doing genealogical research yourself and are using a genealogical computer program, you may want to look if that program can produce a GEDCOM file. The GEDCOM file format is a standard way of exchanging genealogical information between computers.

If you are like me and prefer to work with paper, you may find the form I have created useful. These forms are in Microsoft Word format. What I usually do is print out a bunch of empty forms and fill them out by hand. You can download the forms through the links below.

Whatever method you prefer, if you know anything about Grivels or people related to them, please consider writing down what you know and contributing it to this Website. I will always honor requests not to publish certain pieces of information, and I wil always do my best to respect the privacy of everyone involved.
